I have been fortunate enough to have been kindly sent some Walnut Butter to try from the company Higher Nature in exchange for a blog post (please note that all opinions are my own and have not been influenced at all by anyone).
I’ve been testing this out now for a little over a week in a variety of ways and I must say that walnut butter is definitely up there with the cashew and almond varieties for me.
What makes it so unique is its earthy flavour and there is definitely no bitterness in this one from Higher Nature. Made from 100% organically grown walnuts and completely raw, this is definitely a healthy (and super tasty) choice.
It’s a little pricey, however, the quality is definitely worth it. What I have found with this nut butter is that the consistency is consistent (haha, pun intended!). Whilst all kinds of nut butter do experience some oil separation, a lot do get quite stodgy towards the bottom.
Not this one!
Higher Nature’s nut butter is easy to scoop out the whole way to the bottom, so no more super thick nut butter glueing your mouth together (I know you know what I’m talking about).

Super simple, but adds a lot to a humble bowl of porridge. Perfect for in the winter or on cold mornings when you feel like you need a hearty warming breakfast.
I think I’ve found a new favourite way to have toast. Spread some of this delicious butter on toasted fresh bread and then add sliced banana and a drizzle of honey, thank me later!
A great way to add healthy fats to smoothies and to give them a thick milkshake consistency. Try adding coffee and almond milk to it for an indulgent taste with no guilt.
